The Senior Partners of Summit spent many years in their specific professional practices. They were often involved in areas related to advising buyers and sellers of a wide range of businesses. This experience exposed a need for a comprehensive, more professional and all encompassing business sales & acquisitions program for owners of SME’s contemplating these often, one off events in their business life.
The partners, David Wolrige a qualified accountant with a strong accounting practice background as principal and Paul Gregory a lawyer & former managing partner, believed that many current brokers had little expertise in evaluating businesses for their clients nor had the experience to recognise value in a business. Their ability to assist in the broad range elements that make up the sale or purchase of a business such as, valuation, legalities, cultural factors, business evaluations, brand value was suspect. Therefore, often an uncoordinated team might need to be assembled for an acquisition or sale which ran the risk of being unwieldy and expensive.
